C Cases lawyers, representing Kirill Pavlov in the Nikulinsky District Court of Moscow, successfully defended against blogger Anzhelika Epikhova’s claim for 2 million rubles, plus interest and legal fees.
In 2021, Anzhelika Epikhova transferred her share of funds to Artem Savkin and Kirill Pavlov as part of a cooperation agreement. The purpose of their collaboration was to host a giveaway with Italian businessman and influencer Gianluca Vacchi, who subsequently failed to fulfill his obligations due to the start of the special military operation. Consequently, she filed a lawsuit seeking to recover the debt from the defendants, along with interest for the use of other people's funds, as well as legal fees and court costs.
The C Cases team proved in court that there was no evidence of improper performance of obligations by Kirill Pavlov. At the same time, the sanctions-related restrictions, which constituted force majeure and impacted the ability to carry out the project with the foreign influencer, were objective in nature. Furthermore, they could not be considered grounds for recovering the claimed amounts, as it is impermissible to assign liability for the actions of a third party. Additionally, the plaintiff failed to substantiate any claims of unlawful retention of funds or misconduct by Kirill Pavlov, nor could she verify the amount of the alleged debt.
Ultimately, on June 18, 2026, the Nikulinsky District Court of Moscow dismissed Anzhelika Epikhova’s claim in its entirety.
