C Cases lawyers, representing Kirill Pavlov in Moscow's Nikulinsky District Court, successfully defended against blogger Anzhelika Epikhova's claims for the recovery of 2 million rubles, interest, and legal costs.
In 2021, Anzhelika Epikhova transferred her share of funds to Artyom Savkin and Kirill Pavlov under a cooperation agreement. The purpose of their collaboration was to organize a giveaway with Italian businessman and blogger Gianluca Vacchi, who subsequently refused to fulfill his obligations due to the start of the special military operation. As a result, she filed a lawsuit demanding the defendants repay the contractual debt, interest for the use of other people's funds, as well as legal assistance costs and state duty.
The C Cases team proved in court the absence of evidence of Kirill Pavlov's improper performance of obligations. At the same time, the sanctions restrictions, caused by force majeure circumstances and affecting the feasibility of the project with the foreign blogger, were objective in nature. Furthermore, they could not be considered grounds for recovering the claimed amounts, as it is impermissible to assign responsibility for the actions of a third party. Moreover, the plaintiff could not confirm either the facts of unlawful retention of funds and abuse by Kirill Pavlov, nor the amount of the debt itself.
Ultimately, on June 18, 2026, Moscow's Nikulinsky District Court denied Anzhelika Epikhova's claim in full.
